I have used this in the past and always worked perfectly, but now it’s doing something weird, I am trying to migrate only the database, and it always says there are 64 files with a size of 3 GB, this never happened before, I tried downloading the database with another plugin and it only has like 800 kb.
Where are the 3 GB coming from? I checked everything so it wouldn’t migrate the media files

    Thank you for your help

    Hi lupach,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Do you have backups from other plugins with wp-content and wp-content/uploads that you can delete?

Thank you very much, That did it!, now it’s a regular database size

Keep up the great work, I will keep recomending your plugin

I have the same issue and I’m using UPDRAFT backup. Is there a way to exclude the \wp-content\updraft from the migration file.

I mirror lupach’s comment. Keep up the great work!

    Hi Chris Cane,

Thank you for your kind words.

You may want to move updraft folder to the root directory or delete some backups that you do not plan to use since our plugin exports everything within your wp-content folder.

I can find no way to move the updraft folder out of the wp-content folder other than to do the move before creating the migration file..

The settings for UpdraftPlus are written as

“Backup directory specified is writable, which is good. This is where UpdraftPlus will write the zip files it creates initially. This directory must be writable by your web server. It is relative to your content directory (which by default is called wp-content). Do not place it inside your uploads or plugins directory, as that will cause recursion (backups of backups of backups of…).”

It would be great if you could add the ability in the Advanced Options to exclude certain folders from the migration.

Perhaps you can consider that for one of your upgrades.

    Thank you, Chris Cane.
We will see what we can do in our next version.

    Cheers!

I was able to solve the issue by placing the updraft folder at ‘../updraft’ and that did shift it to the root.

It would be nice with your application to allow the user to select or enter any directory and exclude it.

    Many thanks

    Chris
