    Hi,

So I downloaded Yoast SEO about one month ago and hoped to fix all the titles and meta descriptions of my website. However, it does not matter what I change and what I write, it does not show up on Google in the way I want it to.

Almost all the titles of my website are more than 1-2 months old
Almost all the meta descriptions are missing on Google
The sitemap is almost one week old and is not being updated even though I’m making changes to the website all the time.

According to Google Search Console the site is crawled everyday and there is no problem.

Anyone that wants to help me?

The website is [ redundant link removed ]

[ Please do not bump. ]

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Anyone?

We reviewed two of your pages, the home page and https://www.klockwebben.com/herrklockor/. For the home page, we are seeing the title output as (see image here):

<title>Klockwebben – Herr- och damklockor till marknadens bästa priser</title>

And for the https://www.klockwebben.com/herrklockor/ page output as:

    <title>Herrklockor – Klockwebben</title>

We checked the site in a Google search here and do see that title for the home page displaying as expected, and the title for the https://www.klockwebben.com/herrklockor/ page displaying as ‘HERRKLOCKOR Archives – Klockwebben’ (see image here).

For both pages we are not seeing a meta description output.

If you clear your cache (server, plugin/theme, or CDN such as Cloudflare) does this resolve the issue? If you are not sure how to clear your server cache you should speak with your host provider.

Also, please note that whereas Google typically uses the title from the metadata for indexing, this is not always the case. Google will sometimes modify the title of the URL as it sees fit, as well as sometimes adding the brand or sitename to the end of your title. This is not due to the plugin not functioning as expected, but rather is due to Google modifying the Title it indexes as it’s algorithm has concluded that there is a better version to index.

We also have additional information on this topic available at the following links: https://yoast.com/google-page-title/ and https://kb.yoast.com/kb/google-shows-different-titles-for-my-site/. Please refer to these articles as the include recommendations for crafting a page title which will help increase the likelihood that Google will use the title you specified instead of modifying your page’s title as it sees fit.

    Closed. No further questions.
