    Hey,

In the Hummingbird Performance Test under Audits > Eliminate Render Blocking Resources, one of the elements listed is Hummingbird Assets. However, Hummingbird doesn’t appear in the list of assets under Asset Optimization. Is there a way I can improve this file?

I also notice when running a Waterfall Test on WebPageTest (e.g. for https://homecoffeeexpert.com/1zpresso-jx-pro/ ) that there are multiple file requests for Hummingbird assets. Can this be reduced?

    Many thanks,
    Katie

    Hi @homecoffeeexpert,

I hope you are staying safe.

To check this, I ran a new performance test on the URL that you have shared with Google PageSpeed Insights. The mentioned files are not Hummingbird assets but the compressed assets from other plugins and the active theme which are created by Hummingbird to serve instead of the original ones.

These files are reported as render-blocking resources because above-the-fold content will get a little bit delayed to display. This could be resolved using the footer option for CSS & JS or inline for CSS and defer for javascript option in that Advanced Mode of Hummingbird Asset Optimization.

Please find more details here: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/hummingbird/#asset-optimization

    I hope that helps.

    Kind Regards,
    Nebu John
