Hyperlink
-
Hi I am trialing the premium version and looking good so far.
I am using the Data Publisher display a custon WordPress table I created. One of the fields is a link to a PDF created. This is a full url can they be hyperlinked to allow them to be clicked on or do I have to do the href myself?
Or can I replace this with a button?
Thanks

Yes you can do this.
You have to define the field in the Explorer of WP Data Access in the Settings – Column Settings. There you have the opportunity to set the Column Type to “Hyperlink”. I am using this feature in my project https://araber-sportpferde.de/pferde/ for the column “Pedigree” for an external link.Maybe in your case you should use the Column Type “Attachment”, i would suggest to try both.
Hi I am not doing it this way I believe. I am using the data publishing – table option.
If I can do a better way then please let me know.
Thanks
Do you know your explore option doesn’t work correctly as it always gets the first table even if you click explore under a different table. You have to search for the table then click explore for it to work.
Hi @gatestar,
The explorer works fine on all my installations, but another plugin user was complaining about the same issue this weekend. So I wonder if I’ve overlooked something? Can you clarify this issue? Maybe share some screenshots? Any help is appreciated!
ARE OTHER USER FACING THE SAME ISSUE…??? LET ME KNOW!
You can use dynammic hyperlinks (as mentioned by @baschwa) in the Data Publisher as well. π This is documented here:

Thanks
Regarding the Hyperlink and Data Publisher I cant see any select that allows me to change the column settings.

https://timesheet.sykesit.co.uk/pictures/data-publisher.jpgHy @gatestar,
Thanks for the pictures! Your first three tables all show a red flag. I’m not sure whether that might be the cause of the issue. Is it possible to send me an export of your first three tables? You can export without rows if you prefer and use the contactform on the plugin website to send this inforamtion in private.
Regarding the hyperlinks, you first need to create them, before you can access them in the Data Publisher. Here is the documentation for creating dynamic hyperlinks:
https://wpdataaccess.com/docs/data-explorer/dynamic-hyperlinks/
Please let me know if this helps.Best regards,
PeterSent through contact form. I have lost the ability to manage the tables is this connected and the explorer on these tables looks terrible and hard to read. See pic.
Sorted it on the manage side an explore. It somehow managed to restrict access on my user, now that I can manage again if I click explore next to table does that table. Still no idea why the red flag but working now. Thanks
Hi @gatestar,
Good it is working now!
Thanks for the export. I imported the file but I don’t get any issues (no red flags). Are you up to date with the plugin? Or using an older version? Can you please check and update if applicable?
You can change the number of columns displayed in the list table by clicking on the Screen Options link in upper right corner and select/deselect the columns you want to see. The plugin remembers your settings for each table. You can also craete your own custom list tables and data entry form with Data Projects. This is documented here:
https://wpdataaccess.com/docs/data-projects/overview/Let me know if you need more assistance,
Peter
