Hyperlink causing problems

When we put in a hyperlink – the post won’t publish and it causes lots of problems with responsiveness. Eventually, in some cases it becomes a “database error”

The database needed to be restarted after trying to post hyperlinks.

We are a ww.wp.xz.cn blog hosted on Media Temple – seems like it may be a problem with folder permissions or database settings.
