• I recently posted an article to our cub scout pack’s news page, which gets added to the news rss feed and later picked up by MailChimp for email distribution. However, it looks like hyperlinks have been getting stripped from the RSS feed before even making it to MailChimp.

    Here’s the article: http://pack644.org/please-rsvp-to-blue-and-gold-event

… and here’s the RSS feed… http://pack644.org/news/rss (the text “Blue and Gold Banquet” should be linked to the corresponding event and the text “this flyer” should be linked to a download of the RSVP flyer as they are in the article). Both links are visible and work in the article on the site, but not the RSS feed or the email that MailChimp sends out.

Any ideas why this might be happening? These links really need to be present in the emails that get sent out in my MailChimp campaigns. Thanks for the help!

Sorry, forgot to mention in my first post that I did already check that… set to “full text” not “summary”.

    Any other ideas?

I’ve checked the source of that feed file and they definitely look like post excerpts to me. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

Tried all of those ideas… didn’t fix the issue.

Try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I’ll try the db option later tonight and get back to you. Thanks for the help. This will deactivate all of them, correct? Then I can just reactivate them through the admin panel?

    Yes

Then I can just reactivate them through the admin panel?

Rename the plugins-hold folder back to plugins and then re-activate them one-by-one.
