    Good evening. Nice to meet you. I’m having trouble using Site Kit.

    Site Kit connection error
    Unknown error (Code: Connection refused for URI https://142.250.196.145/o/oauth2/token/)

    google_api_connection_fail

    I haven’t used WordPress for a long time, since December 2023. I started using it again last month.

    I’m getting an error that wasn’t there before. I don’t know when it started happening, but I noticed it yesterday.

    1. Download this mini-plugin, which allows Site Kit setup over IPv4 instead of IPv6
    2. Upload the plugin file on your site by going to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin
    3. Once installed, click on the Activate button
    4. Try setting up Site Kit again

    I also tried installing the mini plugin, but the situation remains the same.

    I haven’t changed my web host in years, and my IP address hasn’t changed either.

    I’ve reset SiteKit. I’ve re-authenticated.
    I’ve also tried troubleshooting mode.
    Nothing changed.What else can I do?

    2. Where are you located? I ask as some regions may be blocked which could be why you are seeing this error message.
    3. Was Site Kit working previously for you or did you encounter this message when first setting up the plugin?
