At Users > Profile in your site’s Dashboard, make sure that “Disable the visual editor when writing” is not checked.

Ok, this may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty-One theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.
If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Thank you very much for your help. I’ve installed the Health Check. I disabled all the plugins installed. I’m using DIVI as page builder. When you say I should go for default Twenty Twenty One, how can I see that the problem went away, and I can edit my texts in visual mode in Divi?
Ok, so which is having the problem, the built-in WordPress editor with no plugins active and the Twenty Twenty-One theme in use, or the Divi builder?

I got the same issue, using Divi. I have set up a dev site but this one is working fine.
The dev site is a clean install and I am using WP migrate. So I have to figure out which files are not migrated.
I am pretty sure the problem appeared after the updates a couple of day’s ago.

Forum volunteers are not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why it is not working properly. Other community members who may have faced your issue might be able to help you but your best bet is your product’s developer. Keep in mind we encourage you to use the official support venues, as it allows the developers to be aware of issues with their code and gives back to the community in a more robust way.
I forgot the mention, in the Firefox Developer browser it work fine. In the standard Firefox browser I have the issue.

I understand that but I am not sure the issue is caused by Divi in this case. But I will start a thread there.
If you deactivate the Divi Builder plugin, and switch to the Twenty Twenty-One theme, are you able to use the built-in WordPress editor without issue?

I don’t know (suppose yes), because I don’t use DIVI plugin, I use Elegant Themes, with DIVI built in.

Yes, I can, or I believe I can, I didn’t experience any trouble while writing and formatting a text or adding a block with a pictur. But I have to tell, I’m not on top with using the normal wp editor, so maybe I cannot tell if there are any issues.
