Hello @angelus197,
I am sorry you were not able to complete the SEO data optimization.
To troubleshoot further, while you’re on the SEO Data Optimization screen, can you please check if there are Javascript errors on your browser’s console? You may follow the steps here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/
There are no javascript errors, there is only a warning with yellow background, something about the non-standard “zoom” property. Optimization bar get stuck when it is full, and the error message by YOAST plugin doesn’t appear, it only appears when I press any link to exit that section, so it appears during 1 second and I can’t press the little arrow to expand and see the error message. I think I was able to see it one time going back on my browser, now I can’t see it because the page reloads completely so optimization button appears again.
Thanks for following up with us.
Can you please try resetting our indexables in the database tables by following the steps below?
1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations’, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation’, and ‘Reset Internal link counter’ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that each reset was successful. Note: Resetting the optimization doesn’t undo any of the hard work you’ve put into the plugin as the SEO data is also stored in WordPress’ default tables. It’ll just reset the custom Yoast tables that contain the combined data pulled from those default tables.
4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your content. For your site’s health and safety, we recommend creating regular backups of your site and database. This is especially important before making important changes on your website. Learn more about the benefits of regular backups.
I did that the first time it did not finish optimizing.
Do you mean you have tried resetting our indexables in the database tables before or running the SEO data optimization did not finish?
Yes, I have tried indexing the data by resetting the database tables and the process does not finish, just like when I hit it without resetting data.
Hi,
If you’ve reset the data using the Yoast Test Helper plugin and tried to re-run the SEO data optimization process, but are unable to locate any JavaScript errors in the browser’s console or are unable to check the drop-down in the error and response section in the red error notification when it fails, it may be something specific to your set-up, which we’d need to investigate further, but are unable to do so over these public forums.
You can try resetting the data using the Yoast Test Helper plugin, and enabling troubleshooting mode in the Health Check plugin with a default WP theme and only the Yoast SEO plugin activated, and try and re-run the SEO data optimization process and see if it then completes.
