I’m so confused! First, let me explain what I want to do. I sell prints that are rolled in and put in a tube for shipping. I want to charge a flat rate of $10 per tube. I can fit up to 2 prints in a tube. Thus if someone orders from 1 to 2 prints, I want to charge $10 for shipping.

    1. This is a brand new site and everything is running the latest version.

    2. <one or more links to screenshots here>

    WBS

    3. I’m testing it with the order:
    <weight>, <shipping class>, <quantity>
    Item #1: <2>, <Flat Rate>, <3>

Total order weight: <weight> I’m thinking 12 (package) + 2*3 for the prints =18 – So it should switch to weight based?

    4. I expect to see
    — 1 or 2 prints $10
    — > 2 switch to weight based

    5. I do see instead:
    — Always set to Flat rate $10

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

After additional review, I realize that it’s not adding in the packaging weight. If I set the qty to 8 (8×2=16) it switches to weight based.

What am I doing wrong so that it does not include the package weight?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you for the details and screenshots.

Packages in WooCommerce Services aren’t connected to the Weight Based Shipping plugin. They are mainly useful for printing shipping labels and with other shipping plugins maintained by the WooCommerce team.

The only WBS rule I see on the screenshot is set up to catch orders with weight from 0 to 16 oz. It’s ‘clean’ order weight, without packaging, since, as I mentioned, WooCommerce Service knows nothing about WBS and vice versa. So, according to the rule, for any 0-16oz order you should see a shipping option ‘Flat Rate Print Shipping -‘ with price $10.

Thanks. I was expecting too much, but I think if I set the per print weight to 5 Oz it will be a suitable workaround.

    Thanks again!
