    Hello,

I installed your plugin because it was recommended. I’ll accept it for now, even if it shows some speed drop on my site. However, I have some problems.

1-All the settings I made using the Customize page appear only on this page. All logged-in user roles or non-logged-in users will not see any changes and are shown by default. (Litespeed)

2-I use ”loco Translate” when translating into my own language, but for example, even if I translate the word “Essential”, it is not reflected on the screen.

3-Although the settings are 365 days, the pop-up window appears again on every page, whether the user accepts or rejects it.

4-In the browser tab, the browser cannot complete the configuration because it cannot find the sitemap.

I would be very grateful if you could support me in these problems. I look forward to trying your plugin.

    Thank you

    Hello,

We realized that one of the issues I reported to you was unrelated to your plugin. There was a problem with our SSL certificate we are using and our sitemap is not working because the connection is not currently handling https requests properly. We located the settings for the translations and realized we were looking in the wrong place. We are sorry for that. However, our 1st and 3rd questions are still valid.

    Thank you

    Hi @tniron!

Thanks for your message. Here is Matthew 🙂

To 1.: Are you using a object cache like Redis or Memcached? Have you tried to clear the cache? If you are in the customizer and click on “Publish” and refresh the customizer, are the changes visible to you?

To 3.: The named problem usually occurs when you block the WP REST API of your WordPress by a security plugin or a special webserver configuration. This means that when you save your consent, it cannot be documented and consequently remembered for subsequent page views. In our knowledge base at https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/wordpress-rest-api-does-not-respond/ we explain in more detail how you can recognize the problem and how you can solve it.

    Regards,
    Matthew 😊

    Hello ®mguenter

The answer to your 1st question is yes. We can see the changes we made in customize when we refresh the page. We are using Litespeed Cach plugin.

For our second question, we will review the documents you provided and check if it works for us.

    Thank you

    (@mguenter)

Ok. And then you leave the customizer and navigate to your website. And there, you will see still the “old” customized style of your cookie banner? Are you using an object cache plugin like Redis or Memcached? Have you tried to clear the Litespeed Cache? 😊

    (@tniron)

    Hello,

We do not use Redis or Memcached. Of course, we clear our cache on both the browser and server side 🙂

    Thank you

    (@mguenter)

That’s strange. Where do you host your website? Can you please activate the cookie banner on your site so I can have a look at it? 😊

    Hello,

Your plugin is now active. You can check. Our server is located at “turhost” and we get a really good service.

    thank you

    Hi again!

On my end, the cookie banner looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/rqAIE1e.png – so there is definitely a customization of the border radius.

How does the banner look in your customizer?

    Thread Starter Toygar Niron

    (@tniron)

    Hello,

You’re right, we’re seeing some customizations here. However, all fields are in our own language ie “Turkish” and we have added different texts to the customization page. However, none of these appear. I send you our full body design.

Are you using a multilingual tool like PolyLang, WPML or TranslatePress? What happens if you change a “visual” option like the dialog border radius? Do you see that changes?

    Thread Starter Toygar Niron

    (@tniron)

    Hello,

I think we are going to the source of the problem 🙂 Yes, WPML plugin is installed in the system. The flag in the header is just an svg icon, as the translations are not yet complete. We made the design change you mentioned and yes we can see it. You can check it now.

    Thank you

    Hi again!

Please have a look at this: https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/real-cookie-banner-multilanguage-support-wpml-polylang/

In the WordPress Customizer you can change the appearance of the cookie banner. All texts you can change will be changed for the current backend language. To change the language, you can select the backend language in the admin bar as usual thanks to WPML/Polylang (only outside the WordPress Customizer the admin bar is shown). All other settings apply to all languages. So, again it doesn’t matter in which backend language you change the settings.

    Hello,

We checked this out and I guess it doesn’t seem like something we can do right away. We need more time. We’ll review both documents you’ve given us and let you know if it worked for us.

    Thank you for the support.

    Hi again!

Ok. I will close this thread as “Resolved”. Please feel free to reopen. 😊

    (@tniron)

    Hello,

First of all, I’m sorry for taking your time. I can confirm that the translation error was caused by me. The reason the language option didn’t work was because I interfered with the code structure of WPML and prevented it from running on the admin side. I put the codes in place and now the texts look the way I want.

Now my only remaining issue is that for all user roles the cookie window reappears on every page despite being set for 365 days. We will try to solve this problem with the documents you have given us.

    Thank you
