iCal Calendar issue

    Hi,

    I’m having ‘Add to Google Calendar’ and ‘Add to iCal calendar’ buttons on my event, when I click on ‘+ Google Calendar’ it is opening in a new window, but when I click on ‘+ iCal calendar’ it is exporting a file rather than opening it in new window. I want iCal also open in new window as it does for Google Calendar. please help

    Thanks for reaching out.

    This currently isn’t possible because of the nature of the iCal button. While the Google Calendar one generates a web link directly to the Google Calendar website with all the event info, the iCal button generates an ICS file which the default browser behavior for such files it to download them.

    Also, the ICS file is supposed to be compatible with a number of calendar applications and services, which is why it comes as a download so you can choose which service or app you want to open the file with.
