icomoon
-
Hi. Today i activated the plugin. Works very well. However my current theme “Unitheme” also used icomoon. Since installing this plugin all of my pages where i have icons, the icons are no longer visible. In a couple of cases (e.g icon-home) has been replaced by what looks like icon-users2.
Why has this happened and how do i quickly fix?
Thank you.

Hi Camppe, sorry to read about your issue. Do you have a URL where I can check this ?
Just to confirm, the plugin does not use icomoon package but only a few icons packed under its own font-family.
If unwilling to disclose the URL publicly you’ll find my mail addreess on top of plugin pages…Thank you. Site is http://www.podiumrisk.com
When looking at source code I see that it looks like the style for icomoon is not there. Eg on site http://www.infrasure.com.au where we have not put this plugin it is there.
It does look like the theme fonts are being eaten by those of the plugin. I’ll contact the team at Ninzio so we cross-check what we do. This is the first time this is being reported to me.
Other than that, do you know what features you’ll be using from the plugin ? Maybe you don’t need font icons so you could remove them from its CSS file and see if those from the theme come back…?
Thanks. I’ll try that. But not sure where/how.
All I’m using the plugin for is hide toolbar and as menu items.
Hmmm… For a short test, from the dashboard editor, could you find the file plugins/wp-symposium-toolbar/css/wp-symposium-toolbar_admin.css
At the beginning of this file, remove the section[class^="icon-"], [class*=" icon-"]from its opening bracket to the closing bracket (included). This small part of code could generate that conflict. If it doesn’t I’ll continue investigating.Thank you so much Guillaume. Removing this section fixed the issue. Greatly Appreciated. Great Plugin.
Thanks for the feedback. I had added the CSS provided with the guidance at the site Icomoon where I packed the icons, with no question or concern. I realized my mistake when investigating this ticket.
The fix will be part of next release, planned in sync with WP 4.3 some time next month (August).
