Icons distorted

I want to have national flags in front of the country categories. But even though the webp file looks correct in Windows Explorer, as soon as I load it into the category, it’s get distorted and cropped into a square. How can I keep the correct format?

We don’t think this issue is related to our plugin, because we simply take a ready link and display it in the list.

It already contains resize=150×150, which turns it into a square (remove this parameter and the flag will be fully functional: https://i0.wp.com/badebadebade.no/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/dk.webp?ssl=1)
You should try to find a solution in WordPress or another plugin where you specify images for menu items.
