    Hello. When I install Site Kit on my website and connect Google Analytics 4, the container name that appears in my source code is:
    src=”https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=GT-WV*****

    However, I don’t want to use Google Tag Manager, and the code tag that Analytics tell me to install is different (“G-YS*****”).

    I don’t know what’s going on, but Analytics isn’t collecting any visits to my website, even though Site Kit tells me it’s connected correctly.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @haskoz, thanks for your question. The code you have shared is expected and is the code needed when connecting Analytics and placing your Analytics code. This is to be expected and when checking your site I see the Site Kit placed code which looks correct and is the code per Google Analytics placement guidelines. You can read more on Site Kit placed code specifically for Analytics here.

    With regards to the tag you can see, that is your Google tag and is linked with the tag ID G-YS*****. You can see this by going to https://tagassistant.google.com/ and inputting your site URL. After the site loads, you can click into your Analytics tag and you will see the list of tag IDs. Site Kit chooses to place the Google tag in this instance which is linked with the tag ID you wish to use so you don’t need to do anything extra here.

    If your site isn’t collecting any site visits in Analytics, it’s likely due to consent not being granted for users visiting the website. The Google EU user consent policy (EUUCP) requires site owners to implement consent mode for Ads and Analytics customers in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

    Site Kit provides a solution for this with consent mode. You can follow our guide which takes you through step by step the process for configuring consent mode which will allow users to grant permissions for visits to be tracked.

    I hope this helps and appreciate it’s a lot of information so if you have any questions at all, please do let me know and I will be happy to answer them for you.
