Hi @bnicolas,
Thank you for your message. Can you find more details regarding product variations that don’t include the ID? Does this always happen for specific variations, or is it intermittent even for the same one?
Additionally, have you considered using SKUs? That’s the best way to tracking your inventory and it can also help you identifying your products quickly for shipping purposes. Learn more: https://woo.com/document/managing-products/?aff=24287&cid=2453659#sku
Thanks!

hello,
this seems to apply to all products with variations. the problem appears randomly. 3 out of 4 orders there is no problem but 1 out of 4 orders there is a problem
our logistician only uses IDs to send orders
Hi @bnicolas,
This issue could be due to a number of reasons. It could be a glitch in the system, a conflict with another plugin, or a problem with the theme. To troubleshoot, I would recommend the following steps:
- Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
- Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
- Repeat the action that is causing the problem
If you do not see the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To determine which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.
If the issue persists after these steps, please share a copy of the following:
- System Status Report: Navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select Get System Report and then Download for Support.
- Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.
You could copy and paste your reply or share it via Mozilla Community Pastebin and share the link here.
Let us know once you have done a conflict test! Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi,
Thank you for your reply,
Okay, I’ll do the conflict test,
Is there any other method than deactivating the plugins? Because we don’t have pre-production and the site does a lot of daily sales.
Hello @bnicolas,
I understand that deactivating plugins for a conflict test can be disruptive to your business operations. Please note it is the most effective way to rule out any possible conflicts.
However, you can do this during off-peak hours to minimize impact on your sales or have a staging environment to run the conflict tests. You can find detailed steps to set up a staging environment here.
Looking forward to your reply.
Hi there 👋 ,
We haven’t heard from you in a while; this is to check if you’ve been able to proceed with the troubleshooting steps provided before and if you still need help.
Thanks!
