    Hello

A friend who checked my site for me sent some images regarding an error he sees with Cactus.
I can’t replicate this so not sure whats going on.
Maybe you have a better idea?

He’s using IE but not sure what version. Sorry to be rather vague.

    Problem 1
is that, whilst loading the page / gallery, the top left image shows a really quick thumb of each image as it loads. Looks like a flick-book or really quick gif of the images loading. The rest of the gallery generates at the same time as this as expected &, once loaded, is ok, with the exception of
    Problem 2
Something messes up with the thumbnail generation which, once again, I can’t replicate. Basically, it’s not resizing them to thumbnail size but showing a larger, cropped version although the boundaries of the image are the correct size for expected thumbs.
Here is a image of problem 2 as well as a short video of problem 1 (if I can upload it)

In the image below, the top ‘photos’ show the problem and the bottom ‘grabs’ show what I see & expect.

This is the shortcode I’m using.

    [cactus-masonry width=’15%’ horizontal_spacing=’20’ vertical_spacing=’20’ border_thickness=’10px’ border_color=’white’ outer_border_thickness=’1px’ quality=’medium’ crop_images=”true” post_category=”xxxxx” post_orderby=”title” open_in_new_windows=”true”]

Thanks very much for your time. I appreciate it.

    Hey,

    Problem 1
I believe the issue there is IE8. While Cactus Masonry should work with IE8 – it will have issues. It is not uncommon for websites to drop support for older IE versions, and IE8 is no exception.

The issue should not occur in IE9+.

    Problem 2
Try removing crop_images=”true” from the shortcode

    I hope that helps
