The website you’ve provided is inaccessible at the moment, so I can’t really have a look and say what’s wrong.
I don’t entirely understand what you were trying to remove. Did you try to remove my slideshow plugin, or a different one?

I was trying to uninstall this plugin, because I didn’t have it in me to add any mobile functionality to it. I have since started working on re-installing WordPress all together. I’m not sure if it’s directly to due with the plug in or not, but since there was a part re-written for IE recently that was my suspicion.
I did not expect a reply therefore dove into a re-install, but it’s due to issues with parts of this plugin not being removed out of IE, and some mobile browsers. Firefox and Chrome had no issues responding to un-installation.
Version 2.2.0 had a width calculation bug that caused it to fail on some mobile devices, the bug was fixed in version 2.2.1. Perhaps you were using version 2.2.0 before, but the slideshow has always worked on mobile devices.
When uninstalling the slideshow plugin, no problems should be introduced. The slideshow only removes its own files, not the ones it uses from the WordPress installation.

I was using 2.2.1, I don’t claim it was an error with the plugin, to me, it seems like more of an odd caching issue, I just could not resolve it. I hadn’t seen anything like it prior.
Caching can indeed cause some nasty issues on your website that seem to come from nowhere.
Anyways, goodluck with the reinstallation of your website!
