    Hi πŸ™‚
autoptimize helped me get to 99/100 on pagespeed but it breaks my slideshow (jetpack) when “optimize javascript code” is checked.

i’ve tried to exclude the specific file (slideshow-shortcode.js) in autoptimize with no success.
also tried excluding the entire plugin library – doesn’t work.

the only way it works is if I exclude jquery.js but then my page speed score drops.

I would love to keep all javascript optimized on the site except on the one with the slide show.

the slideshow i’m referring to is at http://www.MayravGonen.com/artwork

any help would be much appreciated! πŸ™‚

I’m afraid the slideshow has a hard dependency on jQuery being loaded early, so you will indeed either have to exclude jQuery or alternatively tick the “force JS in head”-checkbox, both of which will indeed impact your pagespeed score.

    Kind regards,
    frank

Thanks for the quick answer πŸ™‚

forcing JS in <head> doesn’t work.

excluding JQuery has too much of an impact on page load time.

looks like i’m in the market for a new slider πŸ™‚
    any suggestions are welcome
