Can WPSSO automatically assign Image ALT Attributes to all appropriate images, instead of manually typing Image ALT Attributes for all chosen images?

WPSSO gets image information, like the image title, caption, and description, from the WordPress Media Library. For best SEO results, your title, caption, and description should properly describe the subject being shown in the image.

Thank you for your response. Is WPSSO capable of automatically assigning image information/alt tags to batch/bulk images? In other words, can I select multiple images at once, and automatically assign alt tags to those images without having to add alt tags to each individual image?

I think the better question might be “How can I assign bulk captions and descriptions to images in the WordPress Media Library?” There’s probably a plugin for that, or you could create a filter. Those captions and descriptions in the Media Library are useful to more than just WPSSO, as they are also used by most themes when adding images in the layout. Although image captions and descriptions in the Schema markup are useful for SEO, they are also useful for SEO when used as alt image values in the webpage HTML (this would be handled by your theme).

Note that having generic and/or duplicate image captions and descriptions will negatively affect your SEO.

Thank you ! I’m using Rank Math now and I am no longer impressed by Rank Math. I am considering using WPSSO.
