• Hello,

I would like to optimize my website in terms of accessibility, SEO etc..
How can I add ALT attributes to the flag images of polylang?

I’ve already had a look at the plugin’s code, but since I’m not that familiar with PHP, I just wanted to ask here. If you could provide me with a code snippet and where it should be implemented, that would be great. For other users, an update would be cool too 🙂

    Have a nice weekend!

  • Hi @d0n151

Thanks for asking the question. I just tried on my freshly installed website and after inspecting, I have noticed the alt tag is already available by the name of that specific locale. To understand more clearly, could you please share a screenshot, where the alt tag is missing on the flag image?

    Best regards

    Hi Muhibul,

thanks for the reply. After reading your message I took a closer look to it. The alt-tags are there but empty. I also can see, that – on my website – the images are lazyloaded which might cause the issue. Can you tell me if they are lazy-loaded by default?

Could you please share the website address, so I can better suggest and also I can analyse the best possible way to add image attributes?

    Hi @d0n151

Unfortunately, I could not produced the error in my end. I am not sure what is the difference between your plugins and my one. But I believe any of the support will take a look and help you to fix the issue. Also, If I get any solution, I will keep you posted here.

    Thanks for understanding!
