Oh hi,
it’s great that you’re trying the new version and glad to see it live
but at the same time a bit concerned because this is a beta version and it’s not recommended to run it on a live site
I will try to fix the shortcode/content order
In the meanwhile you can try another feature to fix that – you can now add calendars also using a panel called ‘Attach calendar’ on the post edit right side. This allows you to put a calendar in a post or page (either after or before content). By default this panel is set to appear on blog posts only, but from the plugin settings you can choose other post types or pages to have this panel.
On the panel, just select the calendar you want to attach and the position (before/after) content.
Please let me know if it works out
about the colors, I think before releasing 3.0 will try to squeeze a customizer feature where you can choose between two styles (light/dark). If not by 3.0, definitely this is the direction we want to go, to customize the calendar using the WordPress built in customizer.
thank you
Thank you for quick response. Don’t worry about the production site, it’s OK with me. I tried the “Add Calendar” button, it does the same thing (content after calendar)… this is not a big problem right now (for me). The main problem is the “november” month, where events are totaly wrong (sunday events are on Monday, Monday events are on Tuesday… and so on). I believe this is something wrong with daylight saving (just a guess) – on google calendar there is no isue. If you have any idea where is the problem… Thanks!
Got it, may I have the public calendar ID? thanks
Sure. MEDIA [AT] BETEL-TULCEA.RO
since you are using the beta, can you try updating with https://www.dropbox.com/s/x7pxhmwo905kdtb/simple-calendar-3.0.0-beta1.zip?dl=1 (warning, still a beta) but I tried this one with your calendar and the timings for november/dst look alright
OK, I can see the changes, the wordpress content on that page is on his place, but the november month is still something wrong (same problem with May 2016). Thanks anyway for your time, look forward for future updates π
try refreshing the caches
ps an adjustment for the css in the button arrows didn’t get in the update, but I took care of that too
i noticed the time doesn’t look right, but can you try clearing the caches and use the feed default settings first, please let me know
Yes, I did cleared cache, also i tried now the default feed settings. The same…
what’s your event template like?
because on my local installation using your calendar and the default settings it works fine now, I compared with Google Calendar app start and end time of events scheduled now or in november
I’m using the default template 3.0 is shipping with ([when]), the remote calendar timezone (Romania), and default settings for date, time format, calendar etc)
I just created a new calendar with the default event template, nothing else changed (i just put my calendar id). and it’s the same on november (also on may 2016). if it was the timezone wrong would be affected all events, but it’s strange, only on 2 month/year.
so the hours are off by 1 hour DST or more than that?
I figured out there was a problem with [start-time] and [end-time] but was working fine with [when] – you can download the latest and try again
Sorry, for first question: the events in november have a delay by 24 hours (events from sunday are shown on monday, events from monday are shown on tuesday and so on). If you folow the link for event details it will give you the google calendar page for that event and there is fine. I created a new page: http://betel-tulcea.ro/simple-calendar-test and this is only for testing. Also created a new calendar there with default settings. Can you give me the link to download the latest version? Thanks.
