    Hi,

Some of the images that have been optimised are bigger than the original image.
It happens to jpg and webp images.

    Hi @salonijhaveri

this is Ioanna from Imagify, and I’ll gladly assist you here!

    Sorry about the confusion!

The problem is happening because WebP format image is larger in some of these cases than the original format image.

You can use this helper plugin in order to stop converting images to WebP if they will be larger than the original format.

Let me know if you need further assistance. I’ll be happy to help.

    Best regards,
    Ioanna

Yes i have added the plugin – but some of the images are saving as .jpg.wbp and the size is not getting smaller.

What other settings do i have to change?

    Hi @salonijhaveri

I am sorry to hear that there is still an issue.

You just install and activate the helper plugin. There are no other settings to change.

Did you try to re-optimize those images?

If the issue is still there you need to create a ticket through our support page in order to investigate it further.

    Best regards,
    Ioanna

    Hi @salonijhaveri

The re-optimization link is next to the image on your Media library. Please check the following screenshot.

Try to re-optimize in another level and check if your optimized image still has a bigger filesize than his original version.

If you need to create a ticket you have to visit our support page.

    Best regards,
    Ioanna
