Image cropping issue

I’m using the Latest Posts plugin at http://laneisgoingplaces.com.

As you can see, images are cropped in such as way that the bottom of the image is cut off if the aspect ratio doesn’t match the page layout. This is particularly problematic when the image is in portrait orientation. You can see it in your default image, which is a square, for posts that don’t have a featured image.

I tried adding height: 100% to the span.img_cropper img, but that throws off the aspect ratio.

Are there layout options in the pro version that would resolve this? Ideally, I would like to be able to fit the image into a standard size box and have it display the entire image. Is this possible?
