Image display error symbol

    I inserted an image (jpeg) using the upload/insert media function. The image size is no more than 300kb. The box of the image appears but the image itself doesn’t and I see a symbol (looks like a document icon with a tear) on the top left corner of the box. I checked the site and the exact same thing appears on the actual site. What is the problem?

    I ran into this problem a few days ago. Check your options under Settings > Miscellaneous. Check that your files are being uploaded to the correct spot. If it’s set to something other than the default, try putting it back to default.

    Check your server to make the images are actually being uploaded. If not, you may need to check the permissions. Try setting them to ‘777’ just for a test, and then bump them back down to the appropriate level if it works (‘755’).
