• Hi,

We are having an issue with image formatting. The image is aligning to the opposite side than it should be and the text is not wrapping properly. Everything looks correct on the backend with the alignment on the correct side and the text wrapping working properly. However, it breaks on the front end.

We are getting the following error when trying to run commands via wp cli: PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘endwhile’ (T_ENDWHILE) in /nas/content/live/studiodado/wp-content/themes/studio/functions.php on line 647 Error: There has been a critical error on this website. I am not sure if this is what is causing the issue or not.

We are running an outdated version of the theme because every time we try to update it, the site breaks. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

I’ve just updated the theme on our dev site and the issue with the image formatting is fixed. However, the site is still broken,

Here is a link to the drafted post: https://studiodadodev.wpengine.com/?p=1640&preview=1&_ppp=e99d12a93a on the dev site.

To compare with the working production site with the outdated version of the theme, here is the link:

Any suggestions as to how we can update the theme without breaking the site?

    Thanks!

    Hi @terryvit,

It looks like you have a custom theme with only names matched. Please contact your site developer. The theme in your main site is not this Studio theme.

    Hi Pratik,

Thank you for your response. The link on the theme details page directed me to this page. The new version is listed as 2.3 and the logo matches. Everything that I am seeing indicates that this is the Studio theme. I don’t mean to question what you are saying but are you sure that it’s not Studio?

    Thanks,

    Terry

I am pretty sure because our theme doesn’t have line 647 in functions.php. If you check here: https://themes.trac.ww.wp.xz.cn/browser/studio/2.3/functions.php?rev=162895 our functions file only has till line 443.

However your staging site does have our theme so I think there has been some issue while upgrading. Main site though has a different theme.

That’s very strange. The staging site is an exact copy of the main site. The only difference is that I just upgraded the theme on the staging site about 3 hours ago. Is it possible that the version of the theme on the main site is just so old that it previously had the additional lines? Do you have any recommendations as to how we could resolve the issues?

I wont be able to say for certain, that is why I recommended to contact site devs. What you can do is not upgrade the site and increase your site’s theme to higher version. Unless you want to use a different theme, upgrading is not recommended.

I was originally planning on not upgrading but then I just noticed the issue with the image formatting as I mentioned in my original message. Would you have any idea as to how we could resolve the mis-alignment and text-wrapping issues with out updating it? Would not updating cause any security issues?
