• I’m doing a website which shows pix of old coins. These are organized usually by country, then by date. There are literally 10’s of thousands of images.

I don’t wish to upload everything to one Gallery. Also I need to be able to make the selections based on image name. Is there any multiple Gallery feature in WordPress?

For example, I may have 300 pix of Mexican coins and 200 Greek coins and 50 Roman coins. Also there are widget pix.

How can I keep all the source images in their own directories and only open them when I need a particular image?

Many plugins don’t support this feature but have other features, like editing & spotlighting which I don’t need.

Actually I’ve bought this plugin and am trying to get it to work. Well it works but I still haven’t figured out how to sort pix by filename using it. I put a support request in to the plugin author tho.

It seems that other people would want to organize lots of photos on WP sites. All the examples show how you can organize 5 very different pictures of say; sneakers, a basketball, a car, & a young woman in a bikini. Then it’s easy to sort them by image clip or low res snapshot. How about when you have 100’s of similar looking objects (say 1920 dimes) and you really need to sort the pix by file name?

I can’t believe I’m the only one with this problem.

I must say that the Gallery Factory does a great job of letting one sort pix into folders & Albums. I’m just trying to get to the next step tho.
