Hi @laserstore
I hope you’re well today!
It’s hard to say for sure without checking the site.
1. In SmartCrawl, do you have “Include image items with the sitemap” option enabled on “SmartCrawl -> Sitemaps -> Settings” page?
2. could you share URL to the example page(s) on your site that got wrong images indexed, please?
Best regards,
Adam
Hi @wpmudev-support8 ! Thank you for your response. So, the option “Include image items with the sitemap” is active in settings.
this problem has occurred with some products, and the indexing in the images area is very bad, several images are missing. I know there are several factors that determine this, but much lower sites have their images indexed. One of the products that the image indexed the back of is this url: https://www.dogvibe.com.br/produto/tag-de-identificacao-piggy/
The main image of the product is the most important of these products, as it is specifically about the design of the product, which is the main factor that makes the customer click on the image.
Thanks!
Hi @laserstore,
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to give a closer look at the issue as the URL that you shared is blocked from accessing from my end. Please check the following screenshot: https://ibb.co/9gsnzdt
It looks like you have a location block enabled for this website using Cloudflare. Wouldn’t you mind please deactivate the location block and updating us here so that we could take a closer look?
Kind Regards,
Nebu John
@wpmudevsupport14 I apologize for that. Can you try again?
Hi @laserstore
Thank you for response!
I checked this page and I don’t see anything particularly “wrong” in page source. The Google Schema tester also confirms that schema is valid there. The image used in schema is also the “front’ one if I understand correctly (the one with text “nico”).
Google can sometimes “mess around” with what it indexes and how as they reserve the right to handle it at their own discretion but this is happening only with some products, right?
If so, could you take a look also at “SmartCrawl -> Advanced Tools -> WooCommerce SEO” page and check:
– is the “Enable Ship Schema” option enabled there?
– is the “Enable Product Open Graph” option enabled?
If any of those is disabled, try enabling them.
Also, in product itself – do you have this main image set as product image or do you have only “product gallery images” set? Some themes can work fine without “product image” set as they simply use the first image from “product gallery images” as main image but that could possibly be related – so if the “product image” (which is an equivalent for “featured image” for posts) is not set, make sure to set it too.
Kind regards,
Adam
Hello @wpmudev-support8 thank you for your response.
about your questions:
– is the “Enable Ship Schema” option enabled there? Yes
– is the “Enable Product Open Graph” option enabled? No
I activated the open graph now.
about the product image, yes, the “front” is the main image and the second image is in the gallery. See: https://imgur.com/fbIhI19
I will study more about all the options and thank you in advance for the excellent support you have given me. Hope I can resolve the issue!
Hi @laserstore
Thanks for response!
So yes, please try enabling that OG option as well and let’s see how it goes – if it helps.
Also, I see you are using theme that seems to be dedicated to e-commerce, but I’m not familiar with its options – it may be good to look through the theme configurations as there may be some additional setting related to indexing products in general.
Best regards,
Adam
Hi @laserstore,
Since we haven’t heard from you for a while. I’ll mark this thread as resolved for now. Please feel free to re-open the thread if you need further assistance.
Best Regards
Nithin
Hey! Sorry for the delay in responding. I was testing several options and I didn’t find the problem until then. So I decided to ask chatGPT for help to see if there was another possibility and he indicated that the lazy loading of the theme could be the cause, since in some cases the javascript is misinterpreted by Google. It makes sense somehow.
So yesterday I disabled lazy loading of product images and will wait a while to see if the problem is resolved.
Thank you so much for your excellent support and if that’s the case, I’ll come back here to let you know!
