image links have white border around them

View the page using a desktop or laptop – not a moble phone – otherwise the widget section on the right hand side will not show.

You will see the image links in the right-hand side widget area (list of comments) have a white border around them.

Scroll down a bit and you will see three images (linked with a href) and all have a white border around them.

How can I get rid of the white border?

I have tried all the usual things such as

a {outline : none;}

a img {outline : none;}

img {border : 0;}
