image map plugin

    Is there an image map plugin that works with the latest WP version?
    I’m not looking for maps as in google maps, but images with hotspots, which can link to other pages or posts.

    I’ve found one, but it is hideously expensive (for me), and one free that kindof works (with up to 4 hotspots, adding a fifth seems to break it)

    Any suggestions?

    @shieldfire – There is the standard HMTL approach to image maps here: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_map.asp … although I cannot say if that would/could be implemented in what you are trying to accomplish.

    Depending on how you are adding the image(s) and/or how many it might be easiest to manually create the image maps and insert them into your page(s) as needed.

    Yes, the html approach might work, and seems clean and easy enough. I’ll look into it …
