• I’ve created a music website for my wife. For the contact page we created a fun graphic which has her email address written on music staves. No matter what I’ve tried, the image will not display. I’ve tried it as a JPEG and PNG file. I’ve tried it on other pages and it won’t display. I’ve tried it on my own website, which uses a different theme, and it won’t display.

In all cases, the image displays on the editing screen, but not on the preview. I’ve tried several other images on this Contact page and they all display as normal. Any ideas why one particular image will not appear? I’ve settled at the moment for displaying her email address as text but would prefer it as an image.

  • You don’t say how you put it into the page (did you use http or https?) or if you used weird software to create it so the internals don’t match the mime-type or if it’s named something that is blocked by an ad blocker in your browser.

A better way is to use a contact form plugin, so the email address isn’t exposed at all. (but yes, you should be able to use whatever image you want)

The website is https. I used paint.net to create the JPEG, which I don’t think is weird, and I’ve used it to create thousands of JPEGs across several websites with no problems. I could use a contact form and we have one installed, but I’d like to know why this isn’t working. Thanks for your input.
