    Hi, i have the “New Images Optimization” feature on and have run the bulk optimization tool. It happens that the plug-in is doing a very poor job at it, i have tried other tools like TinyPNG/TinyJPG, ShortPixel and Smush and the results are non comparable. For example, for one particular image, after optimizing thru SG final size is 366KB and with TinyJPG its 258Kb but the main issue is that the TinyJPG image is a lot sharper.
    My question is, is the original image that i have uploaded preserved and i can just delete the thumbs and run a different optimization plug-in or do i have to re-upload every single image? I have thousands of images. Thanks

    Hey @negapo

    The images optimization overwrites the original images, and this is notes in the plugin interface.

    If you want to restore the images, before the optimization you can use our backup tool.
