Hello. I am having a problem with the Image Optimization on my website. I have 2 websites, and it works fine on one website, but for some reason, it stopped working on the other website. When I gather images and send for optimization, it never works anymore. It doesn’t optimize and it just shows up in the “Clean Up Unfinished Data: #”, and never finishes.

Is there a way to fix it? Maybe something messed up with the image optimization server for my website?

    Hi,

Could you please provide the report number on the site it doesn’t work ?

You can get it from Toolbox —> Report , click “send to LiteSpeed”

I just sent it but I’m not sure if it sent or not. Do I need to create the passwordless link? I don’t want to grand admin access to the LiteSpeed Support Team..

Thanks for the reply. What do you mean destroy all images and restart?

Do you mean delete all my photos?

    Hello,

I destroyed all the optimization data, but it still doesn’t work. I send the optimization request and my limit is 1 and it just goes to “Clean Up Unfinished Data: 1 image” and never finishes.

    I created another report: VBBWGOLJ

Edit: I think I fixed it. I refreshed the domain key thing in the General menu and got a new one and it’s fixed. It works now.

Since I destroyed all the optimization data, I had to optimize all the images again. After I refreshed the domain key, it works now, and I am sending optimization requests from scratch, but I notice that not every image can be optimized. Most of them are optimized, but there are some leftover images in the “Clean up unfinished data” that never get optimized. Do you know why this happens?

    Hi,

No , clean up unfinished data will NOT make not-optimized images not to be optimized.

it must be something else caused.

could you please do me a screenshot on your image optimization page ?

Here is a screenshot of the image optimization page: https://i.imgur.com/ePoyVnt.png

Because I optimized all my images from scratch yesterday, I think I requested too many times so it won’t let me optimize anymore either. I waited to the next day but it still says “You have requested too many images, please try again in a few minutes.”

Every time I sent optimization requests, some of the images would go into Unfinished Data and the number kept going up with each request.

    Hi,

that 220 number is weird , the number should not exceed 200

if you clean up unfinished , then send again , how many images get sent ? 200 or more ?

and also please make sure your wp-cron is working , and personally I would suggest you to use a real system cron , instead of using wp-cron

I have seen quite few sites already that images optimization got stuck due to wp-cron didn’t fire in time , and set up system cron solve the problem immediately.
