Image optimization erros

Why am I getting these errors on 26 images after the bulk optimization in my paid ultimate plan?
– cURL error 56: OpenSSL SSL_read: Connection reset by peer, errno 104
– Error during the JPEG compression process

Hi @lorifitfrog!
This is Joseph from Imagify, and I’ll gladly assist you here!
I’m really sorry you’re having issues with this!
Regarding the “Error during the JPEG compression process” errors, this is a new error we are seeing in regards to specific images. Our developers are working on it right now, but this will need to be resolved with an update to Imagify. I will provide an update to this thread once this update has been released.
Regarding the “cURL error 56”, this is most likely due to some kind of blocking of external requests by your server. you can try installing the following helper plugin, which might offer some more information on what the issue could be:
https://github.com/wp-media/imagify-helpers/raw/master/various/imagify-tools/imagify-tools.zip
Let me know if anything is flagged by this plugin. Most likely, you may see some of the self-requests required for optimization being blocked. If this is the case, then you may need to contact your host to see if they can unblock the requests for you or provide any further info about why this error could be happening.
Best regards,
JosephI got the same error message -Error during the JPEG compression process- when I ran bulk optimization. Only 38% of my media (131 out of 341) was successfully optimized. Very disappointing 🙁
Hey @borderlessjp
At this very moment (until we release the fix) the only solution would be to change images color system from CMYK to RGB. It could be a time consuming process.
At this moment we are not aware of plugin that could solve this for existing images, but this one might be a good solution for images you plan to upload – https://github.com/CreunaFI/color-space-fixer
Best Regards
MarkoSame problem here, @wp_media
many optimizations fail due to jpeg compression errors. All images are RGB. When will the fix be ready?
Hi @thomaspier
I am sorry, but I still don’t have ETA for this. We do our best to fix it along with other tasks but still can’t predict any time frame :/
Thanks for your patience!
Best Regards
MarkoI’m also getting the error on 30% of my images (all RGB), with a paid subscription. I don’t want to continue paying monthly if the plugin isn’t working correctly. Would be nice to know if there is a goal ETA on the fix.
Thanks!Hi @kadolf1024,
Our developers are definitely actively working on creating an update to solve this issue, but unfortunately, we are not able to offer any specific dates. I can certainly understand your frustration and I apologize for this inconvenience!
We will certainly provide notification here once the issue has been resolved, and we hope this will be sometime very soon!
Best regards,
JosephIt has been more than a month and I am getting same errors.
Are there any updates on this?-

I am very sorry to hear about the issue!
This should have been resolved already for most of the cases. Can you confirm you are getting the error for JPEG and not for PNG images?
Also, is there a chance to re-upload the image and see if it works?
Would it be possible to send us one of these images so we could test it on our end?
Thanks!
MarkoHi @wp_media
I am getting errors for both jpg and png images. Here are some images that are not being processed.https://jinglepay.com/wp-content/themes/resanehlab-child/screenshot.png
