image optimization is not effective

    Hi,

    Thank you very much for this handy extension. I have been using it for years and until yesterday I was totally satisfied with the result. Indeed, I noticed that the image compression was no longer effective:
    – An image of 779KB => 600KB
    – With Smush 779KB => 156KB
    – With Imagify 779KB => 310KB

    I tested this on several images a few years ago and EWWW IO had very good results.
    Has there been a change? Do I have to take the paid version to get a correct result?

    There can be any number of things that could be going on. Without seeing the results and the originals and testing it would be hard to say what it is specifically.
