• I have purchased and downloaded the Basic Maths theme by Khoi Vinh and Allan Cole. I love the beauty and simplicity of the design, and the fact that it’s not an overused theme, so it gives my blog a professional and polished quality.

I am having problems with image placement, though.

I have read the documentation supplied with the software, and have communicated with the designer, but I’m still at sea about this and I’m hoping the support forum can help. I suspect it’s a really basic question that reveals my lack of experience with xhtml and css.

I’m pretty sure I need to understand the above documentation and the WordPress page:

    http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Wrapping_Text_Around_Images

    but I don’t.

I strongly suspect that the “default” image handling (gray box surrounding image, caption centered below) is “fighting” the Basic Maths theme, and that I will have to go into style.css and muck around with things. That seems pretty dangerous to me, especially since I suck at coding.

What would be really helpful is if someone who has access to the Basic Maths theme set up an example that I could follow.

    Any thoughts?

  • There is no “default image handling”. The image display swill be handled by the theme, so you need to speak to the theme developers again.
