i should mention that the thumbnail gallery shows the correct 15 images. it’s just when i am in the popup that it shows i have 30 pics and when the next button is clicked it shows the same picture a second time.

ok there seems to be some definite issues with the popup voting.
I disabled the popup voting on the very last photo in my gallery, and it still shows 30 pics instead of 15.. i was hoping it would only show 29, but whatever..
Additionally it lets you vote on both duplicate photos when in the popup, but it doesn’t average them.
I will be disabling the popup voting since i need to go live with this post.
If you would like me to recreate this error somewhere other than on my live site, please let me know.
I’ll let you know if disabling the popup votes makes the popup image count go back as it should be.

disabled the popup votes totally and although they are gone the popup count is still 30.. I’m not sure if this is due to your plugin, I’m thinking not, or NGG. I’m not using 2.0.0 either. back down to the previous 1.9.x version.

Hi proapp
The reason the popup is showing 30 instead of the 15 images, is because you have added a title above the image. This title is also a link to the image. This means the ‘shutter’ popup in NGG is legitimately seeing 30 links to images. Admittedly, it should probably only see unique images, but that’s a conversation to be had with the NGG devs. If you remove the <a> wrapping the title, it should show the correct amount of images.
The complete restructure of that gallery template might also create problems with the voting in the popup, although I cannot be sure until it’s tested.
The reason I think it could create problems is because the popup voting uses the structure of the markup in the gallery template to figure out which image you have clicked on. It uses this structure to get the correct voting form via ajax. The restructure of the markup might confuse the javascript into not finding the correct image’s voting form.
But that is just theory for now.
If you remove the extra link, and re-enable popup voting, we can see if it works. If it doesn’t I can help you alter your markup to get it working, or maybe even update the voting plugin to be able to parse your markup better.

My friend, you were 100% correct. it was because i had a second in there linking the title to the pop-up image.
I removed the from the title, tested and verified that the image count went back to 15.
I then re-enabled the popup voting, and POOF, it works perfectly!
Your plugin is fantastic. Already, because we were able to implement this voting feature, this page has drawn more traffic to the site than any other page in the history of the site.
Thank you so much for all your help!
