Edit to above post:
Sorry, the a href= code in the Sidebar Template reads:
“<?php bloginfo(‘rss2_url’); ?>” title=”Add Better Poker Game To Your News Aggregator”><img src=”http://www.bettterpokergame.com/images/Big RSS Button.gif”>
I can’t access:
http://www.betterpokergame.com/images/
Nor can I verify the existence of this file:
http://www.betterpokergame.com/images/Big RSS Button.gif
Is this the correct name (and location) and capitalization, and not just an example? Note that if this is an actual file, you may want to remove the spaces in it.
Sorry.
I have selected “Allow File Uploads” in the Miscellaneous Options tab of my Admin.
The destination directory for the files is:
/var/www/html/images
The URI of this directory is:
http://www.betterpokergame.com/images
Allowed file extensions: jpg, jpeg, png, gif
Minimum level to upload = 1
I have transfered the files from my computer into the destination directory via my FTP program and inputted the code as follows to display the image:
<img src=”http://www.bettterpokergame.com/images/Big RSS Button.gif” />
The image does not display on my site.
If I hosted this image at Flickr and used the same <img> tags, the image would display.
Please help!
Maybe your host server hates π the spaces in a filename…
The golden rule: no spaces in filenames! (eventually you can make it like: Big_RSS_Button.gif – or,even better: big_rss_button.gif)
My sidebar template in this blog (http://www.netadventures.biz/wordpress/) has the search box, pages, archives, blogroll, etc. all pushed down and not starting until the end of the post. I have no problem with this in my other blogs. Any clues as to why?
Oops – sorry on the last post – got it in the wrong thread.
You mean in IE, right?
Probably your links are too long for this theme/design.
Yep, I see a long link there. I broke it to two lines, but apparently that wasn’t enough. That’s probably it.
What are the rules on this? Ar you ok if the anchor text fits in the post space for the line, or does the link URL have to be short enough as well? I’ve tried breaking the anchor text to two lines and leaving the long URL underneath, but the problem is still there.
