Just installed your plugin for the first time and love it! Is there a way to improve the image quality of the placeholder image?

I’m using the Larger setting (853×480) but it appears that regardless of what size, it’s pulling a youtube generated small one 480×360 which already looks pretty low quality as is with alot of artifacts, etc. Enlarge that to almost 2x the size and it’s worse. I tested the largest setting and it got even worse, as expected.

Is this anything that we can control?

try activating the “hd video”-options, that should force LYTE to get the max-res thumbnails (you might have to clear LYTE’s cache).

Perfect! That worked. I thought that had something to do with the video itself, not the thumbnails.
