Guys please help. I have a problem understanding how I can assign print dimensions to specific image ratios. I currently have:
    a) created products according to print dimensions (example product 1 40x50cm, product 2 30x40cm, etc).
    b) created categories (product types) according to print medium (example cat 1 c-print, cat 2 fineart print (don’t really need this as I can incorporate it in products)

    c) created a gallery by photographic project (subject) (example gallery 1 mykonos)

In that manner any guest can pick any dimension without necessarily matching image ratio. I need a way to assign ratio per image so that clients can only choose compatible dimensions.

  • This is not available with Sunshine Photo Cart. Usually images are just cropped at the discretion of the photographer based on what the client chose. Doesn’t hurt to include a note to the customer that cropping may occur.

Not really professional to avoid the ratio/exact dimensions. This is fine art that customers are paying for and the print size determines the wall to image analogy and more important the passe-partout/frame size that they need to acquire.

    I agree with grdaemon here.
This is a deal breaker for me, I have some prints which are square ratio (1:1) and others which are 3:2, 4:3 etc, whilst some oblong ratio images can be cropped to a certain extent cropping them to a square format would ruin them

Such a shame, I put a lot of work into the free version getting ready to upgrade and have now encountered and insurmountable and unacceptable problem.

Even if you simply had product options that could be assigned to individual images that would work, but it seems that just like products, the options too are global

Oh well, time to put my wallet back in my pocket and move on to a different cart option
