Hello, I am currently migrating a Shopify site to Woocommerce. I kept the same URL structure for all my pages, so I do not need to set up any redirects for them, however, all the image URLs are different, so I planned to set up redirects for all of them since they all rank well in Google. The problem is they are all located at cdn.shopify.com instead of my URL. Is there any way to redirect these images? Please let me know. Thank you!

  • Hello @cdslpb13,

That is a great question. When you say you’d like to redirect them from Shopify’s CDN do you mean you’d like to add a redirection at Shopify for these images?

You may want to check with Shopify since any redirects of those URLs would have to be in place on their system. I can certainly appreciate wanting to keep those Google rankings you’ve worked hard for!

I did find this support documentation from Shopify about redirects, but it appears to be focused on pages and not images.

    https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-online/online-store/menus-and-links/url-redirect

I think the best thing to do would be to ask Shopify if there is a way to do this.

    Hey there @cdslpb13

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved.

For your scenario, if you’re still looking for help and advice, I’d recommend reaching out to a WooCommerce expert developer for help – https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

If you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Thanks,
