The issue you described is not known to us in the way you describe it. When the price sync does not work, it does not work from the beginning and this is almost always related to the tax or currency settings. I have not seen that this issue occurs for some products.
If the images are not syncing you might need to check the size and image type that you are using. The restrictions of the images are pretty flexible, but if there is any problem. The logs might give you a clear indication on this.
