The images are all full size. A 20 image gallery and this means several megabytes of data needed to be downloaded. Unless I am missing something, this is the same issues that I have with Gutenberg and why I and millions of others stopped using it. I don’t understand why after so many years, developers continue to make that mistake.

I’ve checked your demos and all the images are full size. Correct me if I am wrong. The plugin looks great, visually, but if it’s all full images, it’s a BIG NO NO, and I won’t use it.

  • Hello @idansh,

Thank you for reaching out and for your feedback.
Modula will resize the images used in the thumbnails, only the images in the lightbox are full size. You can use the thumbnail size option to resize the thumbnails: https://wp-modula.com/docs/settings/thumbnail-size/

The free version also has a lazy load option to help improve speed.

The basic plan of the plugin offers a Speed Up extension which helps with site speed. It includes ShortPixel image optimization and CDN powered by StackPath.

    Hope this make sense!

    Thank you,
    Mihaela
