Hello,
this really depends on the theme you chose, but you could go with a 960px width,
and a height that doesn’t crop too much of your image. This is only if you want a full-width slider, of course.
Hi. I am using Customizr. I am a web designer (HTML/CSS and Dreamweaver) and I have a client that is requesting WordPress so, i have playing with it all day. I have tried all different sizes but if too small it floats image high and cuts the top off. Conversely, if too big it cuts bottom off, can’t find the sweet spot.
Thanks
Hi arossi33,
The theme’s default(demo) slider seems to be using 1200 x 500px images. I just tried uploading such an image and it works great 🙂
Hope that helps,
Nikola
Hi Nikola
I think staring at the screen for 8 hours fried some brain cells.
Thanks that worked.
Rick
By the way, do you know how to access the HTML/CSS code for the site?
Thanks
Rick

Also I assume that any size that’s following the 2.4 / 1 ratio( width / height ) would work, but I haven’t tested that.
For the CSS you can go to Appearance > Customiz’it! and then the “Custom CSS” section. You can then insert any custom CSS in there.
If you want more extensive CSS changes, create a new child theme and put everything in it’s style.css
Changing the HTML might be a bit more hard – you’ll have to look in the theme’s template/part classes in the parts/ directory.
Just to comment on the 1200×500 recommendation above. Nikeo recommends 1170×500.
