@bajuzka Is your site behind firewall? If so could you please try to disable the firewall and check if it helps to fix the issue?

Guys the issue seems to be intermittent, could you please try to smush the images again and check it works for you now?
Images have been compressing fine for months. Now all of a sudden none of my images will compress. Sometimes they attempt to compress and sometimes I receceive
“cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 out of -1 bytes received”
Several times images have looked like they are compressing only to show 0% compressed.
I really like the platform and have been using it for a while – I hope the issue gets resolved.

Hi, I keep getting the following error message when I attempt to compress my images using WP-Optimize. My internet is connected so I’ve ruled that out as a possible issue. Please assist in resolving.
ERROR MESSAGE

There was an error connecting to the image compression server. This could mean either the server is temporarily unavailable or there are connectivity issues with your internet connection. Please try later.
I should have added that I am also getting the following error message when I attempt to compress the images individually.

i am also getting the curl 28 error.
i have been through with my hosting provider and they have run lots of tests, including plugin conflicts
they are now asking for a hostname so they can test it further.
if this isnt fixed i will be forced to delete the plugin
