As far as I understand the image title is not the same as the title of the attachment. Once I upload an image the content of the image title is put into the attachment title and into the envira gallery image title. Is there a way to synchronise things from the envira structure into the attachment structure or the other way round?

  • Hi, @ernstwg!

Thanks for writing in! And my apologies for the delay in response.

If I’m understanding you correctly — and please correct me if I’m way off-base here — no changes you made to the title on the Envira side of things will carry over to the image as it is in the media library. And the only way to get any change you make to the image in the media library to carry over to the Envira side of things after the image has already been added to a gallery is to remove it from the gallery, then re-add it.

Again, please let me know if I’m misunderstanding or misreading your question, as I’d hate to leave you with useless information.

Hi. Storing the images already in the media library led me to the idea you would also use data structure of wordpress. At least for attributes like title, alt_text, caption..

If that would have been the case I could have easily build a search facility regarding the content of text fields mentioned above (using plug-in media library assistant).

    Hope you understand.
