Image Upload Problems

Hi

I have a theme called homequest. Basically a property theme that has been adjusted to my requirements.

I am looking to email posts into draft version at wordpress end to be up loaded later.
To test I send an email with an image attachment.
When I preview it in the post section it shows. But when I publish it there is no picture showing on the home page where the latest posts are shown, when I click continue reading there is an image there, this is basically a page on it’s own. Also there is no image showing in the blogs section, just a square box, with a camera in it.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated
