Image uploading

I know this issue has been brought up a million times, but I am still having trouble and am so frustrated, I am considering migrating to Blogspot or something!!!

I get the HTTP error whenever I try to upload an image. The image goes in to the library, but I only have the options of thumbnail and actual size in my blog. The one is too small, the other WAY too big.

I have tried adding code to the HTACCESS file, I have tried the various plug in fixes that are suggested all over google. I have upgraded to the new version (2.8.6) and have even deleted the entire blog and started from scratch.

When I upgraded, I tried it and it worked fine for the first image – and thereafter gave an error again.

This issue has been going on for weeks now and I’m about pulling my hair out.

PLEASE can someone help me!
