Image widget 3.2.8

I had a problem before with a conflict involving a minify plugin that has now been disabled but there is still a problem with Image Widget even when all other plugins are disabled. When placed in the sidebar it opens for about half a second but then snaps closed with the option to save or close but no time to make any changes or further alterations afterwards. My previous images have also disappeared.
