Not at this time. If there is an image attached to the email it will show up in the post. Optionally this can be the featured image.

So you are saying the blogger by email would have to attach an image every time they post. Unless I set up a “Featured Image” Is this correct.

if so would you know how I would do this in the “Homequest” theme or indeed if it is possible.

I guess I misunderstood your question.
If you want the same image to show up at the top over every post then you are talking about something the theme should do. Postie isn’t really involved.
